As a military assault vehicle, this KFX700 would get you to the intended
target in a hurry. However, Chris Rodriguez had his big Kawasaki set up
like this for sand drag racing in the Amarillo, Texas, area. Big Kev built the
engine and Dave Moore built the chassis. Along with Chris, Savanah Martin
likes to ride it, too, when she goes out for target practice.
Here’s a Yamaha Raptor 700 looking very majestic at Michigan’s Silver
Lake Sand Dunes. It belongs to Kyle Langford, and he put a little work into
his machine to make sure it gets to the top of the dunes much quicker than
other quads. At the heart of the beast is a D7 Racing turbo kit that runs 15
pounds of boost, which is good for around 90 to 120 horsepower. ❏
