Its engine is a 976cc Rotax V-twin that
pumps out 101 horsepower. Can-Am’s
CVT system, QRS, is now standard on
this model. This means better power
transfer and faster engagement time.
Shock performance is the same as
the Turbo model with the new Fox
Podium 2. 5 QS3 shocks. Thirty-inch
Gorilla Axle Silverback tires also
come stock. You should be able to
tackle mud effortlessly right out of the
box. A 4500-pound winch is installed
stock just in case you find yourself in
a sticky situation. The color options for
2017 are Hyper Silver, Black Octane,
blue/white and black/red.
MAVERICK XC 1000R
A new Maverick line and the most
affordable 976cc UTV they offer is
the Maverick xc 1000R model. The
purpose-built 60-inch-wide UTV is
built for tight trails or woods racing.
Front and rear Fox 2.0 piggyback
shocks offer compression and preload
adjustments for a plush ride. Maxxis
27-inch Big Horn tires come stock
for great traction and puncture
resistance. Since this is the basic
package, it comes in yellow, but the
Maverick xc DPS 1000R is offered in
white while the Maverick X xc 1000R
comes in Octane Blue.
COMMANDER MAX LIMITED 1000
The four-seat Commander Max
Limited is what Can-Am considers
to be their “luxury” UTV. The Fox
2.0 Podium QS3 piggyback shocks
come installed, along with a Garmin
GPS, a four-speaker sound system
(USB- and aux-ready), winch, roof,
power steering and adjustable tilt
steering. Like the Maverick line,
the Commanders all come with the
new front sway bar as well. A new
gorgeous Midnight Blue is the only
option on this model for 2017.
DEFENDER MOSSY OAK HD10
The all-new Defender Mossy Oak
Hunting Edition UTV has some great
options for the hunter in the family.
Offering double Kolpin Stronghold
gun boots, headache rack, tool
holders, LED Ram spotlight, half
windshield, full body skid plate with
front aluminum pre-runner skid
plate, left-side mirror and a full,
hard roof. This machine is ready to
tackle anything the elements throw
at it, while the 72-horsepower Rotax
engine creates great power. The
water-dipped Mossy Oak Break-Up
Country Camo finish is a great touch
for a capable off-road machine.
Always commanding attention, the luxurious Commander Limited 1000 has a
Garmin GPS, Fox 2.0 Podium QS3 shocks and a four-speaker sound system. The
