❏ Rallying is one of the world’s
most popular forms of motor racing.
However, in the U.S., not so much.
Since we think globally and always
try new things, the Dirt Wheels staff
chose to build a proper rally car out
of the 2016 Polaris RZR XP Turbo. We
will be competing in the most popu-
lar rally in the U.S. featuring a UTV
class—the Idaho Rally this June. The
RZR Turbo makes perfect sense for
this application since its 144-horse-
power ProStar powerplant will no
doubt be best in its class. In fact, it
should be quicker than most of the
top cars entered.
To start off the rally theme we
added a few products from the
Polaris accessory catalog. Up front
we installed the tempered glass
windshield (part #2879447), which
installs in seconds thanks to an ingenious Lock & Ride quick-clamp sys-
