LIKE A CONCRETE FREESTYLE
There are many different types
of terrain to ride—from dirt trails to
muddy swamps to giant sand dunes;
however, Moab, Utah, is one place
like no other. It’s basically one big
majestic rock that goes on for miles
and miles with hills, canyons and
bowls to carve. Here is Tony Frey
and his friends who made the trip to
Moab from their homes in Oregon.
You can say it was on their bucket
FROLICKING IN THE SAND ON ATC
For this past Christmas and New
Year’s, John Halleib went to a family
reunion vacation held at Gordon’s
Well Sand Dunes, which is about
20 miles northeast of Glamis. Along
with the normal fire-breathing
dune machinery, they also brought
along this pack of Honda ATC 70s.
Of course, dune fanatics can’t even
leave these machines stock, and the
white one is extra cool with its inverted forks and rear suspension kit.
FUN WINTERTIME SPORT
When the lakes freeze over up
north, some people go ice skating,
but for others it’s way more fun to put
screws in your ATV’s tires and go ice
racing. Here is Jon McKane doing
just that near his home in New York.
You’ll note that there is a two-stroke
pipe coming out on both sides of his
three-wheeler. He put a Banshee
engine in a Yamaha Tri-Z frame and
then modified it to go even faster. Oh
what fun it is to ride.
