HISUN FORGE 400 ($4,999)
The Forge 400 has front independent dual-A-arm suspension with a swingarm in the rear. Hydraulic disc
brakes come on the front and rear of this machine. The
automatic CVT transmission helps power the 4x4 system
that comes with a locking front differential. A 393cc, fuel-injected four-stroke engine resides in the Forge 400’s
HONDA RINCON ($9,299)
The Rincon is Honda’s biggest-bore 4x4. It has a 675cc
four-stroke motor and a three-speed transmission that
can be manually or automatically shifted. The Rincon has
independent front and rear suspension, but no power-steering option is available for this ATV. They changed the
front A-arm setup to steel arms over aluminum for 2016.
HONDA RUBICON ($7,799)
The Honda Rubicon family has six members, and one
of them is the electronic power-steering version that costs
an additional $700. The powerplant in the Rubicon’s frame
is a 475cc, liquid-cooled four-stroke engine. The transmission can be electronically shifted or switched into full auto
mode on some Rubicon models. Independent suspension
comes on the front and rear of this machine.
CAN-AM OUTLANDER L 570/450 ($6,999/$6,399)
The Outlander L series holds Can-Am’s most affordable
ATVs. You have two engine sizes to choose from—
fuel-injected 450 and 570 models are available. Independent
suspension comes on the Outlander L in the front and
rear, and the machine has a towing capacity of up to 1300
pounds. Power-steering models are available as well,
even though this machine steers decently without it.
HISUN FORGE 700/500 ($6,999/$5,999)
Hisun’s Forge 700 and 500 rely on the same body and
frame. The only difference is that one has a 686cc four-stroke engine, while the Forge 500 holds a 471cc, single-cylinder four-stroke engine in its frame. Both machines use
an automatic CVT-style transmission that powers all four
wheels. An electronically locking front differential comes
on both ATVs.
CFMOTO CFORCE 500 ($5,149)
This machine comes with a 493cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with Bosch electronic fuel injection. The 4x4
system has a locking front differential feature and is shaft-driven out of an automatic CVT transmission with reverse.
Fully independent suspension comes on the front and rear
of this well-priced ATV.
