RETURN OF FACTORY SUPPORT FOR SPORT ATVS?
Back in the late 2000s, the economy took a hard hit on
sport ATV racing. It felt like it took 10 steps back once that
happened. Fast-forward to 2017 and the economy is a
little better and UTVs are now dominating sales and are
the peak interest in race series. With these factors that
have taken place, will we see a resurgence of factory
support in sport ATVs? For now, it’s taken a backseat, but

will see a transformed sport ATV market sometime in the
CONGRATULATIONS TO HANNA
Hanna Plankey is another fine young lady who enjoys
riding quads. She also loves racing in the Florida Trail
Riders cross-country series. We’d say Hanna’s very good
at that, because she took first place in the women’s class
for the year. Not only that, but she’s also a honor student
at her high school in Seminole, Florida. Dirt Wheels girls
are so smart.
MICKEY DUNLAP UPDATE
Back in our October 2015 issue we had a feature article
on Mickey Dunlap and the ATC200X that he raced as a
Team Honda factory rider in the ‘80s. What has he been
up to lately? Well, he still enjoys going to the three-wheeler races. Mickey doesn’t race anymore, but he supports
the current riders with tech support and advice. Here he
is hanging out with Dwight Jeckel at the National series
race in Hamlin, Pennsylvania. Mickey still makes fast
parts, which you can obtain from his shop called Four-Stroke Tech.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR?
What do Dirt Wheels guys look for in a girlfriend? A
