more and more popular at every jamboree. They are timed tests that are fun
for the rider and the crowd.
Most festivals have grudge matches
you can enter against your buddies. It’s
the best way to earn bragging rights for
the rest of the year.

power runs. The terrain is much different than the Southern event, so trail

THRILLS IN THE HILLS
Burning Rock, West Virginia
Thrills in the Hills is an off-road
festival celebrating all that is good in
the woods: ridin’, racin’, muddin’ and
fellowship. ATV games such as poker
runs, mud bogs, hill-climbs and drag
racing will be the highlights of the
event. Other activities include a kids’
zone and zip-line adventures are sure
to keep you coming back to the great
West Virginia ride area. One night
is capped off with an after-dark trail
ride, and the other offers a fireworks
show. Primitive camping is available.

Directions: From I-64/77, take Exit
42 and follow signs for Sophia. Once
in Sophia, turn right on West Main
Street. Drive for 3 miles, and Burning
Rock is on your left.
