The top of Mount Washington is the
highest point in the Northeast. You can
only ride an ATV up its popular Auto
Road one day a year during the Gary
Pomerleau Memorial Ride hosted by the
New Hampshire ATV Club. To join the
club, go to www.nhatv.com.
Most of us drag race our buddies on
just about every ride. But at these larger events, you will find organized races,
some with great prizes.
The first of two major events at
Brimstone Recreation is the White
Knuckle Event, tagged as the
Woodstock of ATV and SxS events.
The four-wheel festival is going on
its seventh year, with attendance
growing each year. The event starts
on Friday, starting with guided trail
rides throughout the day and Ritchie
Brothers’ ultimate Dueling Drag
Race under the Southern lights of
the Half-Cabin Event Arena. You can
take advantage of 300 miles of trails
at the Brimstone Recreation Area
to help fill out the days, while top
country concerts take place at night.
Other unique events include a geo-cache hunt called the Wild Mountain
Rampage. Brimstone offers cabins,
RV spots, and campgrounds to help
extend your stay in the park.
