Jerry Gruver had put just 30 miles
on his new Sportsman 850 when
he decided to take this shortcut at
Whiskey Springs in Pennsylvania.
He was sunk for about an hour and
a half before he was able to continue
on down the trail.
THINKING ABOUT PUTTING A
BIGGER ENGINE IN YOUR QUAD?
When taking on a project like that,
you can run into all kinds of problems. The best guy to offer advice
in that regard is Boss McKannick.
He’s the shop foreman here at Dirt
Wheels, and he’s seen and done
just about everything when it comes
to engine swaps and working on
quads. Part of his job is to answer
any questions you have about problems concerning your ATV or UTV.
All you have to do is e-mail him at
firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure
to include your name, city and state.

NEW CLASS OF MACHINE
Dubbed a “Super-Terrain Vehicle,”
the Shadow Hawk is one of many
versions of a machine that is part
tank, part rock crawler and all
muscle. At ShadowHawkVehicles.
com, you can see what the company
is working on, or you can put down
a deposit on one of the million-dollar
